RCom surges 45% after NCLT adjourns hearing of insolvency petition

Other ADAG stocks including Reliance Capital (up 6%), Reliance Power (up 6%) and Reliance Infrastructure (up 5%) also gained on the news LATEST NEWS :  Reliance Communications (RCom) rose as much as 45% in intra-day trade today after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) adjourned the hearing of insolvency petitions filed against Reliance Communicationsto early next month after a group of the telecom operator's lenders sought time to consider converting the company's loans into equity. The adjourned date comes as a breather for RCom as if the tribunal had accepted the insolvency petitions before December 28, by when the lenders need to decide on converting their RCom debt into equity, the process would have ended. RCom, which has shut its wireless business, started its strategic debt restructuring on June 2. ADAG Group stocks : RCom down 15%, Reliance Nippon falls below issue price

RCom, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Nippon Life, Reliance Capital, Reliance Infra, Reliance Naval and Reliance Power were down in the range of 8% to 11%. LATEST NEWS :  Shares of Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Group companies (ADAG) remained under pressure by falling up to 15% on the BSE in intra-day trade. Reliance Communications (RCom)    , Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management, Reliance Capital, Reliance Infrastructure,  Reliance Naval and Engineering and Reliance Power were down in the range of 8% to 15% on the BSE. At 02:22 PM; the S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.63% at 32,734 points. RCom touched a new low of Rs 9.75, down 15% on the BSE. Reliance Jio adds 5 mn users in May, Airtel still emerges mkt leader

With current market share, Jio stood 4th in overall base, behind Airtel, Vodafone and Idea LATEST NEWS    : Reliance Jio added nearly 5 million users ( 4,786,324 subscribers )  and controlled 9.94 per cent of the telecom market in May, shows the latest report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai). In May, Airtel led in terms of overall telecom market share, with 23.59 per cent subscribers. It was followed by Vodafone with a 17.86 per cent share, and Idea with 16.62. Reliance Jio was a distant fourth with 9.94 per cent subscribers. According to the report, the telecom industry saw a net addition of 6,228,813 customers in May. While Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, Reliance Jio and Idea Cellular continue to add subscribers to their base, telecom operators such as Telenor and Tata lose most of their subscribers.
