Globally 66 million adults want to leave their countries; US, UK are most preferred destinations LATEST NEWS : India has the second highest number of adults planning to migrate to other countries with the US and the UK among the most favoured destinations, according to a report by the UN migration agency. Australia  today abolished a visa programme used by over 95,000 temporary foreign workers, majority of them Indians, to tackle the growing unemployment in the country. The programme known as 457 visa allows business to employ foreign workers for a period up to four years in skilled jobs where there is a shortage of Australian workers. "We are an immigration nation, but the fact remains: Australian workers must have priority for Australian jobs, so we are abolishing the 457 visa, the visa that brings temporary foreign workers into our country," said Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. The majority of the visa holders were from India followed by the UK and China. "We will no longer allow 457 visa to be passports to jobs that could and should go to Australians," he said. Researchers from University of Bath in the UK studied a group of overweight males. The volunteers walked for 60 minutes at 60 per cent maximum oxygen consumption on an empty stomach, and on another occasion for two hours after consuming a high-calorie carbohydrate-rich breakfast. The team took multiple blood samples after eating or fasting and after exercising. They also collected adipose tissue samples immediately before and one hour after walking. Gene expression in the adipose tissue differed significantly in the two trials, researchers said.
